Donald Lee Reynolds, 86

Donald Lee Reynolds, 86, of Stevens, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Warren and Thelma (Sener) Reynolds. He was married 65 years to his beloved wife Sandra “Sandy” Ann (Shiffler) Reynolds.

Donald attended Ephrata High School and worked 39 years as a diesel mechanic for Bethlehem Steel, retiring at the age of 72 ½. A true outdoorsman, his passions included hunting, fishing, traveling, hiking, and biking, and he would spend much of his free time at his cabin in Potter County. Donald and Sandy went on the trip of a lifetime to Alaska and they cherished those memories. Donald was a volunteer for the Schoeneck Fire Co. and a member of the Blue Ribbon Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his wife Sandy, he is survived by 3 children: Judy A. Hertzog, Sheila A. Reynolds, and Rick L. Reynolds; 2 grandchildren: Rev. Joanna Hertzog Betkoski (Brett) and Cynthia “Cindy” Strickland (Tyler); 2 great-grandchildren: Thomas and Jane Betkoski; and 2 sisters: Doris Leonard and Joyce Boczon. He was predeceased by 6 siblings: Eugene, Ted, Harry, Jimmy, Nancy Lutz, and Joanne Sweigart. He was also predeceased by his beloved hunting dog, Princess.
