To my dear sweet Pennsylvania family,
I am so saddened for you all. Uncle Don was my fun Uncle. I always looked forward to our trips to y’alls house. I loved Uncle Dons local history lessons he would give us. I loved his sense of humor. We got to see so much in the area and learn so much but mostly we got to all laugh and have fun. We were never sent out so the adults could talk, everything revolved around all the families being together and cracking jokes all the time. Such a very sweet soul he had and I really will miss him. Please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Aunt Vera, I am sending you a big hug from me, wish I could be there.
All our love, Donna ( Mickler ) & Keith Wilson

It was such a blessing to grow up in Brunnerville, right down the “alley” from the Eckerts. Mr. Eckert was a wonderful influence in my life for many years; always such an interesting person to listen to and a great example of how to live a life. His reading and life experiences resulted in fascinating insights. Yet, he always wanted to hear about what was going in my life. Even in these later years it was great to bump into him from time to time at the Zion Home, and catch up on things.
