Donald Robert “Don” Hart, Jr., 59

March 04, 2025

Donald Robert “Don” Hart, Jr., 59, of Landisville, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2025. Born in Warren, PA, he was the son of Donald Sr. and Lois (Lewis) Hart.

Don graduated from Drexel University with a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering. He most recently worked as a senior managing environmental consultant for ALL4. He was an active member at his church, LCBC, and served in many capacities. Don was always very present and supportive in his kids’ lives. He was a softball coach, baseball coach, and Scout Master, just to name a few. Don was a former volunteer firefighter – a passion that both of his children took on. He was also a talented self-taught musician, playing the guitar and piano, and enjoyed the value of classic cars. Most of all, Don cherished his children and family and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Don is survived by his 2 children: Erin Hart and Cody Hart; 2 siblings: Betsy Hart and Edward Hart (Missy); and beloved nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 12 PM at LCBC Manheim, 2392 Mount Joy Rd, Manheim, PA 17545. The family will receive guests beginning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local volunteer fire or ambulance company and support the men and women who take time out of their day to help you in an emergency.

Condolences to the Family

I was privileaged to get to know Don on a hike with our LCBC Pathfinders hiking group. On our first winter hike together parts of the trail were icey and Don slipped and fell. A hard blow on his back but he was not down for the count! Upon giving careful aid,and then placing his heavy backpack on my shoulders. The question to Don after he caught his breath and was walking again . Don,what do you have in this pack? Well lets just share he was prepared to take care of our group and a bit more. We were able to finish a memorable hike sharing together and with our group.
That is who Don is always prepared and thus caring for those he has and will share life eternal with. No need for a compass in Heaven to point the way HOME!

Don’s office was adjacent to mine at ALL4 and we’d often swing by to harrass each other, share stories of our lives, encourage each other or share a corny Dad joke.  Don brought life, laughter and light to our office and he will be missed.  I pray for peace to his family, church, scout communities and his friends as the navigate life without Don.  I am thankful that he was a brother in Christ and look forward to the day I see him again and hear his laughter – body and mind restored and unshackled by the millstones of life.  God bless you Don and all those whose lives you touched!
