Donna was a dedicated scholar, earning her Bachelor’s degree from Misericordia University and pursuing graduate studies at Penn State University. She was a proud graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Class of 1959.

She found camaraderie and joy in activities such as bowling at Dutch Lanes and Rocky Springs and singing in the chorus for over 30 years. Donna was also a valued member of St. Anne’s Bell Choir.
In 2008, Donna was honored with the Golden Apple Award for Catholic Educators, recognizing her dedication to providing quality academic and faith-based education to her students. Donna was also an active member of the Lancaster Liederkranz, contributing to the cultural and social fabric of her community.
Donna’s legacy lives on through the lives she touched. She leaves behind cherished memories and an enduring impact on all who knew her. She is survived by her nephew Shawn Albright (Barbara) of Quarryville and great-niece Dana (John) of Bart. Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Albright.

Donna and I had a wonderful friendship over the years. She would always invite me and my daughter to visit her and whatever dog companion she had at the time. I remember “Cookie”. I also treasure the memory of being her guest when she received her well deserved Golden Apple. A precious soul with a wide smile and warm heart, I will miss her dearly. Your race is run dear Donna- in peace may you rest in the arms of your Lord….Andrea Taylor Mendez

Rest In Peace Donna. You were one of the greatest teachers at St. Anne’s School. She called me one day to tell me that my son called her “My most precious Miss Kaylor”. That says it all.
