Dora C. “Charley” Esbenshade, 55
September 03, 2024
Dora “Charley” Esbenshade, 55, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lancaster, she was the beautiful daughter of the late Walter and Hazel (Woodard) Woods. She was adored by her loving husband, Eric W. Esbenshade.
Charley was the life of the party, and her presence always lit up the room. She was a loving wife, mother, and aunt. Charley loved to sing, enjoyed going to flea markets, was an avid reader, and was always up for a good thrift shop find, but above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
In addition to her husband Eric, she is survived by her children: Jeffrey Graham of Lancaster, Jessica Graham, wife to Corey Oatman of Lancaster, and Jarrett Graham of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kennedi, and Saxton: siblings, Glenn, Larry, Raymond, and Virgil Woods and a host of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Karen Ressler, and Deborah Boyd.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.

I’m sorry for your loss. She was a fighter. She loved her family and was very proud of them. She loved being a grandma, she cherished it. Charley loved to party and she would have loved her memorial, it was lovely. She had a caring and giving heart. She has a family who loved her and will deeply miss her. We loved working with her at Crooked Oak. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Love, Judy Byers
