Doris A. Musser, 81
April 19, 2025
Doris A. Musser, 81, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the cherished daughter of the late Doris (Chopko) and John Oliver.
Dory, as she was affectionally called, was the beloved wife of Barry E. Musser, with whom she celebrated more than 61 years of devoted marriage. Their bond was one of deep love, partnership, and unwavering support.
A gentle and nurturing soul, Doris found joy in the simple pleasures of life—reading a good book, tackling crossword puzzles, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader, rarely missing an event and always present with a warm smile and kind words of encouragement. Her famous snickerdoodles were a staple at family gatherings and will be fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to enjoy them.
Doris’s life was rooted in family. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry; her children, Monica Gianopulos, wife of Elia, of Rose Valley, PA, and Dr. Jeffrey Musser, husband of Tina May, of Lititz; and her adored grandchildren, Jake, Zachary, and Hana Musser, and Georgia and Olivia Gianopulos. She is also survived by her siblings, Diane Scott, wife of Donald, and Jackie Oliver, husband of Joyce, all of Wilkes-Barre, and her large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her siblings James, Harold, and Jason Oliver, and Mary Jane Morrione.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at The Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Long Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris’s name to the American Stroke Association at www.stroke.org.
Doris’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
