Doris A. Resh, 82, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Raymond P. and Adella T. Metz Yecker. She was married to the late Patrick A. Resh who passed away March 9, 2006.
She was a 1951 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.
Doris loved animals and enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds. She also loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Lancaster for over 50 years.
Surviving are her six children, Michael A. married to Theresa Fulmer Resh of Holtwood, Lawrence P., Sr., married to Louise Geib Resh of Willow Street, Margaret M. Gayman of Mountville, Patrick J. married to Marie Crawford Resh of East Petersburg, Timothy J. married to Kimberly Bixler Resh of Mountville, Joanne M. Resh of Mountville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul E. Yecker of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Donald Yecker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church, 929 N. Duke St, Lancaster Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10AM. A viewing will be held from 7-9PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. The Holy Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 8:30PM. Interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
