Doris E. (Rowney) Harnly, 92

Doris E. (Rowney) Harnly, 92, of Lancaster, died Friday, July 17, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.
Born in Norwich, CT, she was the wife of the late Naaman E. Harnly, who died March 8, 1996. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Smith) Rowney.
Doris cherished her family, and especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a die-hard bridge player and also enjoyed a good game of pinochle.
She worked for Armstrong World Industries in the glass department as a statistician, then later for Kerr Glass, and JC Penney’s at Park City Mall.
Doris was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, where she volunteered in the church office after her retirement.
She is survived by her son, J. Larry Harnly and his wife Bonnie K., and her daughter, Carole L. Bosler and her husband J. Gordon, all of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren: Keri del Tufo, Chad Will, Krista Hoak, and Dustin Harnly; and 6 great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Alexandra, Madelyn, Matthew, Quinn, and Scarlet. She was preceded in death by a grandson, J. Brian Harnly, and a great-grandson, Mason.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
