Doris “Nadine” Hanna, 95
January 30, 2024
D. Nadine Hanna, 95, of Lititz, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024 at Moravian Manor. Born in Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Irene Yerger. Nadine was the loving wife of John U. Hanna prior to his passing in 2018.
Nadine was a graduate of Lititz High School where she was a cheerleader. She worked in production for Warner Lambert/Pfizer up until her retirement. She was an active member of the Lititz Moravian Church. From a young age Nadine enjoyed sewing. She created many beautiful counted cross stitch pieces. She was an avid reader. She was a great cook and loved vacationing at the beach. Nadine was an avid fan of Penn State football and Duke basketball. Her family was everything to her. Her family and friends remember her as quiet and humble; a dear soul.
Nadine is survived by her 3 children: Beverly H. Zimmerman, John C. Hanna (Cynthia), and Brian L. Hanna; 5 grandchildren: Addie Cooke, Tom Zimmerman, Christin Brackett, Christopher and Tim Hanna; 6 great-grandchildren: Jack Cooke, Benjamin and Henry Brackett, John and Margaret Hanna, and Macallan Hanna; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister Eloise Pfautz and brother Richard Yerger.
Nadine’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Pam Bennett, a special friend and caregiver for her exceptional care and compassion over the last 3+ years. They would also like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers from Your Neighborhood Connection for their in-home care.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Dear Beverly, Craig and Brian, I am so sorry to learn of your Mom’s death. She was such a beautiful person! I can’t help but think back to when she would pick us up from Lititz Elementary School when it was raining, and the car (a Chevy I think) had vacuum windshield wipers. She put up with us playing wiffle ball in your backyard. I never heard her complain. I hope the pain of your loss is eased by happy memories of past.
My sincerest sympathies, Matt Shannon

Hi Casey and family. I was so sorry to hear your mother passed. She was my church buddy each Sunday with Ginny Sipe. I enjoyed the times we met for lunch or breakfast and helping at the advent tea making cookie trays. Your mother was the sweetest person who loved sharing pictures of her beautiful family. I will always treasure these special memories of her. I know you will keep your memories of your mother close to your heart. Thinking of your family at this challenging time.
