Dorothy M. Schleck, 92

Dorothy M. Schleck, 92, of Willow Valley Retirement Community, Willow Street, PA passed peacefully at Lakeside in Willow Valley. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to Edwin J. and Emma (Wesling) Osterhaus. For 31 years she was the loving wife of Carl J. Schleck, who died in 2012. Her first husband, Harold O. Buesking, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage, passed away in 1965. She attended Indiana University and Shippensburg University, and was employed as an office manager and a paralegal before retiring in 1981. Between marriages, she sacrificed for her three boys to insure they completed college and started successful careers. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA.
She is survived by son, Kent W. Buesking (Carol) of Blue Bell, PA, Scott E. Buesking, (Kathy) Newburyport, MA, and Jon H. Buesking (Cheryl) of Mt. Joy, PA. She is also survived by stepson Kurt J. (Julie) of West Lafayette, IN and stepdaughter, Kay Alexander (John) of Kenilworth, IL. Grandchildren include Daniel, Kevin, Lisa, Kimberly and Renee Buesking. Great-grandchildren include Drew and Samantha Cawley, Emery Buesking; and Beverley and Mason Spencer. Step-grandchildren include Megan and Katy Alexander; and Pat and Brent Schleck. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents and brother, Robert H. Osterhaus.
SERVICES HAVE BEEN POSTPONED. When arrangements have been made, service information will be published.
The kind, compassionate, and professional care given Dorothy at Meadow Ridge, Lancaster General Hospital, and Lakeside by nurses and aides from Willow Valley and Hospice was greatly appreciated by all. They were true angels in answer to the family’s prayers.
