Dorothy Marie Wiegand, 94
Dorothy Marie Wiegand, 94, of Lancaster, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Grace (Ebner) Stockbauer. Dorothy was the wife of 49 years to the late Peter F. Wiegand who died in 1988.
Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed keeping her home well kept.
Surviving is a son, Edward J. Wiegand, husband of Janet; a daughter, Dorothy M. Wiegand, all of Lancaster, PA; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wiegand.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Chapel of St. Anne’s Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512 with Msgr. Richard Onwuanibe as Celebrant. A viewing will be from 10-11AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to St. Anne’s Retirement Community or to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604. I don’t think I wrote anything about your mothers passing, Aunt Dot was a wonderful person and came a lot of times to visit and play cards and eat Limberger Cheese. lol. Those were the great days when we had family.

Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that Aunt Dot passed. I believe I haven’t seen any of your family since I was young. I am Joan, the daughter of Peter and Joan Pichler (Wiegand). My parents and brother Pete have also passed. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
