Dorothy (Dottie) W. Denlinger, age 80, passed away on January 16, 2025, at Fairmount Homes. Born on the family farm in Manheim on March 10, 1944, Dottie was the daughter of the late Lester U. and Catherine (Ober) Weidman. She was the loving wife of David L. Denlinger for over 45 years until his passing in 2021.

Her world revolved around her family. Any occasion to have the family come together and enjoy a meal was Dottie’s true passion. While she was a farm girl at heart, her determination, bubbly spirit, and zest for life, were qualities that embodied Dottie and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Music was essential to Dottie; she liked to listen to a little bit of everything and if it caught her ear just right, she wouldn’t hesitate to start dancing along. She and David loved their poodles, enjoyed vacations at the family cabin, watching football games and Nascar racing.

Dottie will be deeply missed by her children, Wanda Hughes, partner of Paul Gavlock of Trout Run; Dwayne Enterline, husband of Phuong Tran of Lancaster; Denise Eller of Quarryville; and Danette, wife of Denley Brown of Virginia; her brothers, Lester O. Weidman (Lavonne) and Kenneth Weidman (Lisa); 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband, parents, a daughter, Dawn Denlinger, and a sister, Elaine Dubbs.

The family would like to express deep gratitude to the staff at Fairmount Homes for their dedication and care of Dottie during her time there.

A Funeral Service honoring Dottie will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, beginning at 10:30 AM. The family will greet guests from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount Homes.
