I am sorry to hear of Gail’s passing. I worked with her in York County. She was a guidance counselor at Eastern, and I was a guidance counselor at the Technical H.S. I would visit several times a year (to recruit students in the fall and schedule them in the spring). Eastern was one of my favorite schools to visit, and Gail was great to work with. She was always prepared and encouraging to the students and a great help when I was in her building.

Dear Rick,

I just submitted a condolence for the passing of Gail and I forgot to sign my name to the post.  I was her secretary at Eastern High School.

Nancy C. Armold
York, PA

I just wanted to let you know how deeply saddened I was to read of Gail’s death.  You may remember me as one of her friends beginning with Juvenile Probation.  She and I worked together and became fast friends.  We then finished our school counseling certification together and went on to become School Counselors at the same time.  I had the fortune to spend time with her at her home as well as having lunch out.  She was the kind of friend who when we ran into each other, we picked up right where we left off.  I loved her for that.  I will miss her dearly.  I want you to know that she will not be forgotten.  I too have experienced great loss and hope that you will feel her presence despite her absence from this world. Love to Rick and all of Gail’s family and friends who are touched by this loss.
Love,
Kathy Antol

Rick,

My name is Rick Weymer. I’m a technology education teacher at Manheim Township High School. Gail will be missed by her students and our faculty. She always had a kind word and took an interest in "how are things going". She put other people first. She was truly professional in her interactions with people. She had the perfect temperment to be a guidance counseler. Gail, I’ll miss you.
Sincerely.

Dear Rick, Mrs. Graver, and Gail’s sisters,

I am so so deeply and profoundly saddened by Gail’s passing.  Gail, was not only a valued colleague, fellow animal lover, but also a true friend.  I am overhelmed with grief for you, Rick, and her family as I know how much you  meant to her.  There are so so many things I will miss about her- her sense of humor, love of practical jokes, her unwavering friendship and true love of all animals great and small.  She was such an intelligent, vibrant,  beautiful person inside and out.  She cared greatly for her students and MTHS and myself have suffered a devasting loss.  I feel blessed to have known her, worked with her, and been able to call her my friend for the past 8 years.  Hopefully knowing how many people she touched, how much she cared for all of you, plus all of your happy memories will help ease your unimaginable pain.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you or her beloved pets.  You will remain in my thoughts and prayers!  Sincerely, Julie Sergovic

Gail was a close personal friend as well as a colleague of mine for the past 6 years. I will miss her greatly. She had such a fun, friendly personality and we shared a lot in common with our love for animals. It didn’t matter how bad of a day I was having I could always count on her to listen to me and make it all seem better. Please know that my thoughts are with you, her family and especially Rick, at this sad, sad time.

Sincerely,

Judy Zimmerman

Noreen:  The thoughts, prayers and sympathies of the Dyer clan are with you at this time of sorrow.  I’m truly sorry I never got to meet any of your children; Gail certainly seems to have been a well-educated and well-liked individual.  Perhaps we could keep in touch.  My temporary e-mail is barb@stjohns-lancaster.org (until my new home system is up and running) Please contact me when things calm down for you.  I will remember all of you in my prayers until then.
Barbara (Dyer) Baker

Dear Rick and Family of Gail,

I was Gail’s secretary when she was a counselor at Eastern.  I will never forget working for such a delightful person.  She was so caring, compassionate, and had such a love for animals.  I will never forget when she told me she was leaving Eastern to go to Manheim Township.  I was so upset, I cried.  The last time I saw her was at my retirement party in July of 2006 and the last time I heard from her was in February 2010 when she told me her cancer had returned.  I can’t believe she is gone.  She surely will be missed and certainly not forgotten.  You are in my thoughts and prayers and my deepest sympathy is with you.

Dear family of Gail Huber,

I am a teacher at MTHS and have always appreciated Gail’s joy and smile she shared life with students and staff.  I will always have fond memories of her. She will be missed and I trust that your grief will be eased as time heals and you move beyond this season of loss.

Grace & Peace to you all,
Rich Nolt

Gail’s life was cut way too short.  She nonetheless, left an impact on hundreds with whom she came in contact.   She was an integral member of our awesome guidance department at MTHS.  This is a great loss for our community as she will be sorely missed by colleagues, students, friends and of course her family.

On behalf of our department our thoughts are with her family in this difficult time.

Jan Minnich

I am a student at MTHS, and I really didn’t know her that well.  I met her one day at a CTC field trip.  I’ll be praying for her family, and wish the best for them.  I wish I would have talked to her more.

Noreen: Sorry to read about the passing of your daughter. It doesn’t seem right that I sent 2 condolences to friends of mine whose "children" are passing away at such young ages. I remember when she was a probation officer when we first met at Willow Valley in 1984. Seems so long ago. Anyway, I’m sorry for your loss and to her husband Rick also. I know she will be missed.
