After reading Dr. Harriger’s obituary, I thought about this special passage from Isaiah 58:10-11: “Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon. The Lord will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever flowing spring.” May his family and friends always celebrate this bright life. I also was touched to read that he was an Eagle Scout! –Susan Krumrei

Janet, Jeanne and Family, So sorry for the loss of your father. It has been many years (back to the swimming years Lancaster Aquatic Club) that we have last communicated. I didn’t know your dad, but I am sure my parents got to know him. Take Care and my thoughts are with you.

My husband, Frank, and I knew Miles because he was our daughter, Ann Marie’s father-in-law. He was the father of our truly great son-in-law, David, and shared with my husband the fun, the joy of being a grandpop to Declan, Grady, and Cavan. He so loved his wife, our dear friend, JoAnn. He was always so wise, so kind, such an excellent story teller, and he had a great sense of humor. We were honored, lucky, and blessed to call Miles our friend. We are sending our love and prayers to JoAnn, David, and all of his family. We will miss you, Miles.

My most sincere condolences. My Uncle Miles was a great guy. He was brilliant, talented and dedicated. He spent his life helping others and asked for little in return. He always had a kind word and a smile. You will be missed Uncle Miles.
