Dwayne L. Stewart, 58

Dwayne L. Stewart, 58, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully, September 26, 2024. Born and raised in Lancaster, Dwayne was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School and spent his career as a skilled mechanic.
He had a passion for fixing cars and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play. Known for his strong will, Dwayne was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, brother and partner who enjoyed cherishing moments filled with food, fun, and laughter.
Dwayne is survived by his daughter, Felicia McCain, along with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his companion, Sue Mae Hoberg; siblings Aldine Owens and her wife Donna, Ralph “Red” Stewart, Maria Alvarado, and Francisco L. Alvarado; and his cousin, Laverne Carter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Stewart, and his brother, Samuel Stewart.
A memorial service to celebrate Dwayne’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a diabetes organization in Dwayne’s memory. His love for family and life will always be remembered and cherished.

Dwayne aka biggie my heart is broking right now like it’s 1:32am and since Red told me the news, you been on my mind like this can’t be real. I know the last time I saw you, you wasn’t in the best of health however it didn’t nor did you let it stop you from doing whatever you had set out for that day. Red ain’t taking it to well and your surely gonna be missed big bro. I love you and thank you for everything🙏💯My condolences to the Stewart family and friends at this most difficult time
