Edith V. Hutton, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at UPMC Lititz.
Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Edie was the daughter of the late Harold and Vyvian (Reimer) Pettit. She was the wife of James “Jim” A. Hutton and they were married for 50 years.
Edie was a longtime member of Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Neffsville. She enjoyed singing and was in the church choir. She loved writing, especially poetry. She was a member of several book clubs over the years. She was a big hockey fan, cheering on various teams. She worked for a number of years taking care of children at a daycare and also worked for H&H Graphics. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Edie is survived by her husband, Jim Hutton; her children, Jonathan (Katy) Hutton, and Elizabeth (John Embrey) Hutton; her sister, Arlene Wagner; and grandchildren, Vivienne, Josiah, and Eleanor.
Friends and family will be received from 2PM to 3PM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Long Memorial United Methodist Church, 2660 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. A memorial service will follow beginning at 3PM. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Edie was my cousin. I didn’t get to see her very much, because I grew up in California, and she was in Niagara Falls. We were friends on FaceBook and I enjoyed seeing her posts. Especially her book reviews! I’m so sorry for her loss!
