Edward F. Manning
Edward F. Manning died on January 7, 2008 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was born on July 13, 1925, the son of the late Michael Manning and Hannah Connelly Manning.
Mr. Manning attended Homestead High School in Pittsburgh where he excelled in basketball, track and field resulting in a scholarship to Long Island University. Mr. Manning married the late Patricia Jones, and they had two sons, Mark and Edward. They eventually settled in Lancaster where Mr. Manning enjoyed a lengthy career as a builder.
Mr. Manning is survived by his son, Edward, of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, his sister, Margaret Micka of North Strabane, Pennsylvania, and his brother, Richard Manning of Greer, South Carolina. In addition to his wife, Patricia, Mr. Manning was preceded in death by his son, Mark, and his brothers, Jerome “Bud” Manning and John “Red” Manning.
Memorial services will be held in the chapel at Conestoga View, 900 E. King Street, Lancaster on January 16, 2008 at 11:00AM with Rev. Norman Hohenwarter officiating.
