Nearly 49/50 years ago I became acquainted with the Snyder family for the first time. Eddie and I would become fast friends and best friends ever since. Mr. and Mrs. Snyder,(as I respectfully always addressed them), welcomed me as a friend of the family and would be known as Rob to them ever since. During the visits of my youth, Mr. Snyder would always allow us boys to be boys, whether toying in the house or rough-housing in the backyard. I believed he enjoyed watching us from afar, though we weren’t aware at the time. He was there with a few stern words if we got out of hand, and we deserved it. As the years passed, I would periodically visit, he showed a genuine interest in what I had been doing with my life while we sat underneath the carport sharing a beverage. He became one of the guys as we boys became men. I viewed him as a patient and diligent family man, he always had a project to do and passed that same instruction and passion into his sons. He will be sorely missed and his memory will always be carried in our hearts. Robert(Rob) Coonney

Ed was such a great man. He loved Sylvia with such steadfast respect, and he loved her faithfully and compassionately. He always shared how much he enjoyed her incredible cooking and baking. Together they enjoyed auction sales and estate sales and camping. Ed had such a big heart and he taught his boys and his grandchildren so many things in life but most importantly he would show them through his example. He taught perseverance and patience can overcome any obstacles. No project was too hard for him from carpentry to auto mechanics, he jumped in wholeheartedly and helped others do what we was needed, and nothing was too hard for him to figure out. He always checked on us and made special time to come see us whenever he was in town. We are going to deeply miss his contagious laugh, fun-loving spirit, kind heart, and thoughtfulness. Pappy will forever be in our hearts. 🙏❤️
