Edythe F. (Denlinger) Huber, 98

Edythe F. (Denlinger) Huber, aged 98, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Woodcrest Villa, Lancaster, PA. A life-long resident of Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lillian (Eby) and John Denlinger. Edythe was the wife of the late H. Paul Huber.

She was a graduate of East Lampeter High School and Lancaster Business School. Following graduation, she enjoyed serving as a secretary-receptionist in a law office. After taking time off to raise her children, Edythe returned to the work force as a tour guide for several Amish attractions, including Dutchland Tours, Brunswick Tours and the former Amish Homestead.

Edythe was a person of faith. She previously attended St. Paul Lutheran in Millersville, PA, and more recently Woodcrest Chapel. A “people person”, Edythe greatly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Edythe is survived by her daughters, Rev. Jane Compton and Carol (Jack) Moscony; her grandchildren, Erin (Steve) Fiorelli, Laura and Craig Moscony, and John (Kayleigh) Compton, and great-grandchildren Oliver, Luke and Connor. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her four siblings, J. Lester Denlinger, Mervin Denlinger, Ruth Osborne and Helen Hess.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the Chapel at Woodcrest Villa, 2001 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
