Eleanora T. Schlinkman, 91

Eleanora T. Schlinkman, 91, of Lancaster, went home to the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Arthur Eckman Tout, Sr. and Lillian Fisher Tout. She was the beloved wife of Robert James Schlinkman for 61 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Lynne Dempsey, wife of Dennis, Willow Street, grandchildren Cole and Eve, and sister Elizabeth Mellott, Lancaster. She was the sister of the late Arthur E. Tout, Jr., John R. Tout, Wesley V. Tout, and William F. Tout.
She graduated from SOLANCO in 1949 and worked as a secretary.
Eleanora was a former St. Luke’s UCC and Zion UCC member and a former assistant Sunday School teacher. She was a volunteer member of the Lancaster Liederkranz, a member and volunteer of the Lancaster AARP, a lifetime member of the Lancaster Ski Club, and a former member of the 60+ Ski Club at Roundtop. She was a former candy striper volunteer at LGH.
In her spare time, she enjoyed skiing, dancing the polka, gardening, and traveling. Eleanora and her husband skied locations from British Columbia to New England to Europe. They made eight trips to ski in the Alps. Later in life, they loved cruising along the Eastern Seaboard and the Caribbean Islands. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Interment will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Zion Church of Christ Cemetery, 900 Winter Hill Road, Strasburg, PA 17579, located adjacent to Dove Rivers of Life Church.

Mary Jo and I wish to extend our sympathies to Bob Schlinkman and family. We were friends of Elanora and enjoyed our many ski trips together with the Lancaster Ski Club, especially the trips to Zermatt Switzerland and other trips in the US. She was a wonderful pereson, and we are so happy to have known her. Our condolances to Bob and family, Don Benninger and Mary Jo Murphy
