Elizabeth Ann “Liz” (Galbaugh) Long, 79

Elizabeth Ann “Liz” (Galbaugh) Long, 79, of Lititz, passed peacefully from her earthly life into her eternal life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, under the care of Hospice & Community Care and Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center, Columbia.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of late Millard M. and Viola Mae (Hinkle) Galbaugh. Liz was married 57 years to Larry S. Long, of Lititz.

Liz was a graduate of Warwick High School, Class of 1961. Her first job was at Sensenich Corp. As a clerk typist and then a billing clerk in service hanger. She also worked at Shick Electric, Schribers, Donnelly Printing, Hewi Inc., and the Udder Choice Restaurant as a hostess. Her hobbies were varied, but she liked reading, cooking and baking, and watching English mysteries. She enjoyed traveling to Williamsburg, going to craft and antique shows, and watching sports car and formula one racing.

Liz is survived by a brother, Russell L. Galbaugh, of Lititz, and two nieces, Ellen Houshower, and Judy Swope, and a nephew, Lowell Hoover, husband of Angie Scilly. She was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Patricia A. Galbaugh and two nephews, Rodney Hoover and Ramond Hoover.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM, January 10, 2024, at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 Market St., Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received at the church from 12PM to 1PM. Interment will be private in the church’s memorial garden.

We never lose what our heart has known and loved. Larry and Liz were a specila couple and we both were married on October 15, 1966. One of life’s most precious gifts are Christian friends. Christians are the only people who can grieve and Rejoice at the same time.

My wife Donna and I enjoyed our friendship with very nice Liz and her great husband Larry for years . She was always so pleasant . So sad to hear of her passing . Know she’ll be a welcome Angel in Heaven . Richard and Donna Wolf , Lititz
