Elizabeth “Eli” Rodriguez, 85

In loving memory of Elizabeth “Eli” Rodriguez, 85, of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Conestoga View after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Abuela Eli was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Danato Rodriguez and Carmen Inez Rosado. She is survived by her only son, my dad Paul J. Arteta of Lancaster, whom was her world; until I came along of course her only granddaughter Danielle M. Arteta wife of Ryan Trask of Lititz. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Zaeden & Arielle Trask as well as a host of loving family and friends.

She was a graduate from Escuela Catolica of San Juan, Puerto Rico High School. She worked for over 30 years as an administrative assistant before retiring. Abuela Eli enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, baking, and she loved listening to music in her eyes every moment was made for dancing. She enjoyed laughter and making everyone around her laugh. She loved to eat pizza and made it her mission to teach my dad and I everything she knew.

We will always remember you with love, care and respect. Each day you will remain in our thoughts and in our hearts. We will honor your memory until we meet again. “

Abuela Eli’s viewing was private, it was held on Tuesday, June 1st, 2021 at the funeral home followed by cremation. Burial and service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, 11 Greenfield Rd, Lancaster, PA 17602. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
