Elizabeth M. Kopenhaver, 95

Elizabeth M. Kopenhaver, 95, died on Thursday at Luther Acres in Lititz.

She was the wife of the late John E. Kopenhaver who died in 1999, with whom she had been married for 56 years. Born in Myerstown, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Martha Schaum Miller.

She had been a physical education teacher from 1938 until her retirement in 1970, teaching in the Sunbury School District and in the Bristol Twp. School District in Bucks County.

Elizabeth was a 1937 graduate of Temple University, and she enjoyed sewing, rug braiding and working with upholstery.

She was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neffsville.

She is survived by a niece, Alycia Zehner of Landisville, a nephew Byron Miller of Ephrata, and a grandniece, Gail Richert of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Myron and William Miller.

Friends are invited to attend the graveside funeral services on Wednesday at 10:30AM at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery, Rts. 999 and 741 in Millersville.
