Elizabeth R. Donovan, 77

Elizabeth R. Donovan, 77, of 331 Shetland Drive, Lancaster,  died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at her home.

Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph G. and Catherine Sheller Devine. Elizabeth was the wife of the late William J. Donovan, who died August 17, 1992.

Mrs. Donovan was a homemaker and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lancaster.                                         

Surviving are two daughters: Karen M., wife of Timothy Lockner of Willow Street; Lori A., wife of Timothy Shaffer of Lancaster; two sons: William J. Donovan Jr. of Lititz and Brian Donovan of Lancaster; a daughter in law, Pamela Donovan of Lititz; eight grandchildren: Heather Lockner-Heffern, Kristen Ober, Timothy Lockner Jr., Chad Lownsbery, Michael Donovan, Ryan Donovan, Kylie Shaffer, and Kellie Shaffer; six great grandchildren: Hailey, Landyn, Olivia, Joey, Chad, Jade; a brother, Paul Devine of Exeter; and four sisters: Lois Conway of Scranton, Margie Garbolino of Hawley, Clair Najmulski of Jupiter, FL, and Gina Moore of Newcastle, DE. 

Funeral services will be at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church , 501 E. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, on Thursday  at 11:00AM.  Interment in St Anthony Catholic Cemetery in  Lancaster. A viewing  will be held at the Charles F. Snyder  Funeral Home  414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA, on Wednesday night from 7-9:00PM and on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday night at 8:00PM. Flowers will be received or contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s memory to  the Lancaster Association for Retarded Citizens, 630 Janet Ave.  Lancaster, PA 17601.
