Elizabeth Shola Hadfield, 103

Elizabeth Shola Hadfield, 103, of Willow Valley, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 9, 2024. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Alexa Shola. She was the loving wife of 53 years to Raymond Wilson Hadfield, who preceded her in death in 1999.
Elizabeth graduated from the Catherine Gibbs School, in Providence, RI, and worked as a dental assistant and executive secretary for Federal Products, Inc. Eventually, she found her passion in antiquing and became a very successful antique dealer.
Of the Episcopalian Faith, Elizabeth enjoyed helping others. She helped with clothing drives at church, was nominated to the Willow Valley Advisory Council and helped with antique shows at Willow Valley.
Having lived abroad in Paris, Elizabeth enjoyed traveling throughout Europe and was an admirer of the arts. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, and gardening.
Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, Robert Hadfield, husband of Nancy, of Collegeville, and William J. Hadfield, of Germany; four grandchildren: David Hadfield, husband of Jessica McIntyre, of Phoenixville; Amy Hadfield Senkowski, wife of Mark Senkowski, of Frederick, MD; and Oliver and Tobias Burkhardt, of Germany; and six great-grandchildren: Madeline, Sean, and Abigail Hadfield, Emily, Tyler, and Carter Senkowski.
Services for Elizabeth will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to: Shriners Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1510, Ranson, WV 25438-9902 OR online at Love to the Rescue.
