Erma E. Underkoffler, 89, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on September 30, 2014 at Brethren Village Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice (Earhart) Urban. Erma was the wife of the late Clair E. Underkoffler who died in 1979.
Erma was a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School, Class of 1942. She was a lifelong member of Covenant United Methodist Church. She was in a card club that met every other Wednesday to play pinochle and solve the world’s problems. She was an avid Penn State Football fan and enjoyed traveling. Erma loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are 2 sons: Larry Underkoffler, husband of Debbie, of Marietta, GA and Terry Underkoffler, husband of Wanda, of Washington Boro, PA; 5 grandchildren: Jason, Dana and Matt Campbell, Holly and Bradley Underkoffler; 4 great-grandchildren: Carly and Owen Campbell, Aidan and Nadia Campbell.
Erma was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Campbell, wife of Everett, of Washington Boro, and a brother, Earl Urban.
A viewing will be from 10-11 AM with a Funeral Service at 11AM on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St., Millersville, PA 17551. Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater PA Chapter, 2595 Interstate Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Covenant United Methodist Church, 110 N. Mulberry St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
