Ernestine E. Poglitsch, 77

Ernestine E. Poglitsch, 77, of Brethren Village went to be with her Lord on Tuesday August. 14, 2007 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in New Britain, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Roth) Robertson.  She was the wife of the late Herman P. Poglitsch who died in 1998.

Ernestine was a certified nurse’s aide at Village Vista Nursing Home for 15 years before retiring in 2000. Before becoming an aide, she was a homemaker and raised her children.

She was a member of the Austrian “Donau” Club and St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

Surviving are her daughters: Nancy E. Poglitsch of Lancaster, Judy A. Poglitsch of Lancaster, and Debbie, wife of Bill Reid of Willow Street; 3 step grandchildren, Tracy Topper, Lisa Reid, and Bill Reid; and a great grandson, Matthew Topper. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Robertson, Howard Robertson, Vivian Galliher, Virginia Robertson, Rita (Blanchette) Robertson, and Muriel Perniciaro, all of Connecticut, and Betty Jane Robertson of California, and her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, from the Chapel at Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster at 11:00AM. Friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ernestine’s memory to The Good Samaritan Fund of Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. 17543.  Arrangements by the Charles F.
