Eugene R. “Gene” Sensenig, 70
March 14, 2025
Eugene R. “Gene” Sensenig, 70, of Denver passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 14, 2025. Born in Martindale, PA, he was the son of the late Keller and Roseine (Good) Sensenig. He was the loving husband of Joyce (Van Gorden) Kuster with whom he shared over 24 years of marriage.
Gene was the proud owner of Sensenig’s Wood Shavings for more than 40 years, serving and supporting many local customers. After decades of hard work and dedication, he retired in June 2024.
A kind, generous man, Gene was always ready to lend a helping hand, putting others before himself. He found joy in camping and boating, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife Joyce, he is survived by two children: Michael E. Sensenig husband of Tiffany of Ephrata and Tesla K. Sensenig of Morgantown, WV. Also surviving are five grandchildren and his siblings: Marlene Sauder (Merv), Lamar Sensenig (Cheryl), Gerald Sensenig (Brenda), Delores Sensenig, Karen Gonzalez (Tony), Jay Sensenig (Glenda) and Christine Franke (Martin).
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Rd, Denver, PA 17517. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gene’s memory may be made to Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the First Responders for their compassion and support during their time of need.

We lift prayers for the family at this time and offer sincere condolences over Gene’s sudden passing. There was a time past that we had the pleasure of his company at our restaurant nearly every day for almost ten years.
