Eva Morton, 76

Eva H. Morton, 76, of Marietta, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022 at ProMedica – Manor Care, Lancaster. Born in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Elmo and Addie Mae (Steele) Greene.
She and her family later moved to Detroit, MI, where she attended Wilbert Wright Co-operative High School. While there she participated in an occupational training program to become a nurse aide. Eva went on to receive a certification to be a Licensed Practical Nurse.
A giver at heart, Eva’s life was dedicated to caring for others. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for almost 17 years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Eva was a wonderful person. She was kind, supportive, and loving. Taking care of her family was her number one priority and she showed it in the endless amount of love that she shared with them. She was always there to help her children and played a paramount role in raising her grandson.
Eva was a believer in Christ and was a former member of St. Paul A.U.M.P. Church and a current member of Brightside Baptist Church.
Her family will miss her strength, sense of humor, and generous spirit.
She is survived by her children, Fletcher Morton Sr. and Roxanne Morton, grandchildren: Khashan Brooks, and his partner Christina Miranda, Fletcher Morton Jr., Shardae Morton, and Zyciar Morton, and great-grandchildren, including Kealani Brooks. Eva is also survived by her sisters, Paulette Brown and Linda Jones, her ex-husband Robert Morton Sr., and her close friends: Dolores McKinney, Wendy Baltimore, Joanna Williams, Yolanda Hobbs, Mae Stewart, and Freda Hall. Preceding her in death is a son, Robert Morton Jr., and siblings: Elmore Greene, Lysander Greene, Marion Greene, and Claudette Greene.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Guest will be received for a time of greeting starting at 10:00AM.

Mommy I love you and I truly miss you. I know you’re in a better place but it’s tough to not be able to see you. You were a GREAT MOTHER and you raised us all to be the very best we can be. God has received a beautiful angel. I LOVE YOU MOMMY!💜🤣💕🥰🙏🏽
