Evelyn Marie DeVerter, 84

Evelyn Marie DeVerter, 84, of Lancaster, entered into the presence of her Lord on September 5, 2015, at Hamilton Arms after a short illness.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Robinson) DeVerter.
After retiring from many years of service at Hubley Manufacturing Company, she worked at Country Meadows and served as a volunteer for the Auxiliary of Conestoga View. She was an avid camper and enjoyed many trips across the United States with her sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Norman Warfel with whom she resided.
A charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, she treasured all the visits from the pastors and deaconesses through the years, especially from Deaconesses Doris Lownsbery and Joanne Ferguson who were a constant encouragement to her.
Surviving are two brothers, Benjamin L., husband of the late Margaret DeVerter and Richard W., husband of Marie DeVerter, both of Lancaster, and seven nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were a brother Charles DeVerter, and two sisters, Mary “Jane” Warfel and Anna Hickey.
A tribute to her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, with The Rev. Dr. Michael A. Rogers officiating. The family will meet with friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Interment will immediately follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
