December 04, 2017
Francis Bernard Rauch III of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 62, passed away Monday, December, 04, 2017 at home surrounded by those he loved. For two years, Frank remained optimistic in the face of adversity. He fought bravely during that time against a terminal diagnosis, an anaplastic astrocytoma. He was overwhelmed daily with the outpouring of love and support from both family and friends.
Born March 14, 1955, in St Louis, Missouri to Frank and Josephine Rauch (both deceased), Frank is survived by his loving wife Janise; daughter Amanda; son-in-law, Jon Miller; son Frank; daughter-in-law, Natalie; adored grandchildren, Frankie and Katie; sisters, Kathie (Herb) Dill, Mary (Steve) Otto, Ellen L. Anderson, Sally (Darryl) Haddox, Martha (Richard) Brueggemann and Molly (John) Dawson; many nieces and nephews; Frank’s beloved in-laws, the family of John and Joan Piontek; many friends; colleagues; and especially dear friends, Mike and Debbie Valentini. Frank was preceded in death by the loss of his sister Jo Ann Rauch of Portland, Oregon.
Frank was the President and CEO of Apex Advertising, a company he started over two decades ago, a business he treasured, filled with people that brought him true joy. Frank maintained a zeal for life, fond of golf, wine, travel and laughter with friends. He lived passionately and gave all of himself in every endeavor. Frank was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December, 09, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster. Friends and family will be received from 9:30-11AM prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

To the Rauch family,
Frank is the reason my company exists today. He went out on a limb and gave us his trust and helped us get to where we’re at today. We owe it all to him. We enjoyed all of the time we worked with him at Apex and cannot express our gratitude enough. The staff he surrounded himself with is a direct reflection of his unquestionably upstanding character and dedication to excellence.
