I met Gary in the early 1990s while attending karaoke at the White Swan. He was a hugger, and I always needed and wanted one. In addition to enjoying my time laughing and singing in duets, trios (I Weep for the Future) and even larger groups with “Igor,” I also enjoyed more intimate gatherings in our friend Karen’s basement. Gary would play acoustic guitar and we’d all sing song after song, harmonizing, and just enjoying everyone’s company. I feel as if times like this are gone and may never happen again. One evening, I took my co-worker Linda along to the White Swan with me, and she and Gary met. A few years later, they got married. It made my heart soar to see two of my favorite people so much in love. I will never think of Gary without smiling. He brought me so much peace, love and joy. Thank you for that, Gary. ♥
