George F. Felber, 83
March 20, 2025
The family of George F. Felber sadly announces his passing on March 20, 2025, at the age of 83, following a brief illness. Born in Hazleton, PA, he was the beloved son of the late George F. Felber Sr. and Arzella R. (Michael) Lutz.
George will be fondly remembered for his passion for building and collecting model trains, his deep appreciation for wolves and Native American heritage, and his dedication to maintaining the extended family tree. A pioneer in embracing and mastering new technologies, he played an instrumental role in local Lancaster computer clubs for many years.
Throughout his career, George dedicated many years to maintenance work at Funland in Park City Mall before transitioning to the Lancaster Housing Authority, where he retired after 25 years of service.
His memory will be cherished by his sister, Mary Barber, and her husband, William “Bill” Barber of Lancaster; his nephew, David Barber, and his wife, Wendy, of Strasburg; his niece, Dawn Moore, and her husband, Alain Reynolds, of Lancaster; as well as his great-nephews, Gaige and Chase Barber, and great-nieces, Emma and Katie Moore.
The family will hold a private cemetery service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George’s name may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation or the American Heart Association.
