Roger coached Basketball in the mid 1970s, for the Lanham Boys Club. He also was a member of the Belair Golf Club in Bowie , MD. A group of Roger’s golfing buddies at Belair became known as the Mouthy Club. One of Roger’s golfing buddies and good friend, Roger Morigi was a Master Stone Carver at the National Cathedral in Washington DC. Being such great friends, Mr. Morigi carved a Gargoyle in the likeness of Roger. He became a member of the Food Committee, an endeavor he enjoyed very much. Roger at one time, loved to cook, so being on the Food Committee, was something special to him. Roger was a very social man. One of the many social activities he enjoyed the most at Willow Valley, is the fireside chats with the Do Nothings. They would gather regularly after supper and discuss every topic under the sun.

Condolences to the Family

Deb,
I’m so sorry that I can’t make it tomorrow to your Dad’s memorial services.  I know you understand about my father and how difficult it is for me to get away.  But I really wish I knew your Dad.  No wonder you are such a wonderful daughter and person, because he had to be a great Dad.  You should be proud of all you have done to take care of him.

Roger and his dear wife Dotty were our loving friends for many years. From the Crofton golf course to breaking bread and ribs and chicken at Adam’s Ribs, we shared good times. May our good friends both RIP together. God Bless,

To Rog’s myriad family members, relatives and friends, I send my sincere condolences. When a person, and in my case a brother, passes into the arms of our Lord; it brings great sorrow. But yet, it brings back memories that will always warm our hearts and spirits just as Rog did for anyone around him. Please remember him with your prayers and pleasant thoughts.
