PS to the first part of this article I already sent.
I forgot to mention that Gloria moved to Luther Acres on June 12, 2017. She loved her independent apartment and all the new friends she made. They were all so good to her. She enjoyed playing cards every Friday evening, playing Bingo, when possible getting on the bus and going out to lunch every Friday with the group from the home, going to movies and church services on campus. All in all she had a good life. To celebrate Gloria’s 94th birthday we took her to Shady Maple for dinner–one of her favorite places to eat. Her friends were faithful to her to the very end as they visited her each and every day. The end of January Gloria’s health began to fail which made it impossible for her to get to her 95th birthday. She told me her goal was to live to 100, but that wasn’t meant to be. We were also thankful to a group at the home called No Resident Dies Alone. They began to sit with her from Friday night 24-7 until she passed away on Sunday evening–a wonderful service for the family when they cannot be there and for the one nearing the end of their life.
