I have worked with Greg for a little over 9 years. It took me a little while to understand his serious voice and dry sense of humor. He always made me laugh, and I have appreciated him and his help throughout the years. He was always happy to talk about his family, he was so proud of them and spoke highly of his sons. A real good man, gone way too soon. He will be missed by many and touched so many lives. I am praying for the family and friends who have to continue life without him. May God bless each of you.

So sorry to hear of Greg’s passing. I didn’t know him personally but was a friend and worker for his parents. Tell Sally how sorry I am to hear of another member of her family leaving this world. I wasn’t able to come to Don’s service because of some problems I was dealing with. I pray for you often and wish you good health. God be near your family at this time.

My deepest condolences to the Heagy family. Greg and I worked together for 20+ years. He and I had a unique sales/purchasing relationship. We actually liked each other! He had a dry sense of humor and tried kicking me out of his office many times. We laughed, complained, and celebrated together. I most enjoyed the stories about this family. His eyes would light up and smile would brighten. God has gained an incredible angel and we have lost an amazing human. Sending love & light to his family.

When God calls us home to eternal life, it can be shocking and often does not dovetail into our earthly schedule. It does however cause one to reflect. Greg, my cousin, was passionate about his relationships with parents, family, and a wide circle of friends. To meet Greg was magnetic to a lasting relationship. On February 27th, Greg’s Mother, my aunt, was picking him up for a cookout at our place. When my wife informed me that Greg was hospitalized, I immediately went to the ER. Upon arrival my aunt informed me that Greg has passed away. As I sat beside her in shock, we prayed. I was reminded that life is very fragile and short lived. In his short life, Greg left a beautiful legacy. I will long remember his above self compassion for others and cherish our unique relationship. In loving memory, Joel Kettering

I met Greg in the hangar of the Liberty War Bird Association. He walked in one day and said, “What can I do to help”. He was one of the most dependable members of the organization. He did everthing that was asked of him and more. His was a great colleague to all of us who are so passionate about this helicopter that spent two years in Vietnam and which we restored and fly to honor all Vietnam veterans. I talked to Greg the day before he died when he called me asked if we had missions for Huey 823 for 2021. I told him we did on March 28, Vietnam Veteran Recognition Day. He was excited and so was I. I was and still am shocked with his passing. We lost a great colleague with whom I was proud to serve.

I am truly heartbroken that the world has lost such a great guy. He really loved his family and made sure they came first.
He loved the challenge of his job and found his passion in working with the Liberty War Birds on the weekends. The other week he called me and mention how exciting it was to be able to fly over the snow and how beautiful everything looked from up in the heuy.
Gone way to soon, but never forgotten. Much love and prayers to all his family as they cope with such a loss.
