H. Jane Wiggins, 93, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed from this earth on Monday, April 9th at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. She was born in Lititz to the late Earl and Kathryn Mae (Ranck) Pickel. Jane shared 62 years of marriage with her husband H. Kenneth Wiggins before his death in 2006.
Jane loved spending time with her family and visiting with friends. Jane was a strong woman with a kind and generous heart. She worked at RCA for 32 years and was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Surviving Jane are her son Barrie K. Wiggins of Falling Waters, WV, daughter Vickie L., wife of Todd Swiontek of Bainbridge; three grandchildren, Katie Swiontek of Elizabethtown, Rebecca Risser of Mountville and Kenneth Wiggins, husband of Michelle of York; great-grandson Christian Sierra of Mountville, her brother Earl Pickel, husband of Linda of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by three siblings, Esther Pickel, Helen Nixon and Richard Pickel.
Jane’s family would like to thank the kind and caring staff and residents of Oak Leaf Manor North. Jane loved the last 2 years that she spent as a resident at Oak Leaf Manor. Thanks, also, to the staff and volunteers of Hospice & Community Care for their extraordinary care during Jane’s final days.
Jane’s family will greet friends from 10:30 to 11 AM, followed by a celebration of her life at 11 AM with Rev. Daniel Long officiating, on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Charles F, Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
