Harry J. Nafpliotis, 87

Harry J. Nafpliotis age 87 died Monday January 11, 2016 at Willow Valley Lakeside. Harry was the husband of Despina Kalargyros Nafpliotis of Willow Valley Lakes. Born in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of the late John and Angela Mandikas Nafpliotis.
Harry was employed as a tool and die maker by Dental-Eze (Star Dental, Syntex) of Lancaster, PA.
He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where he helped with the annual church bazaar by making the Greek salad. He also helped with music at Sunday School and was assistant choir director and a member of the church choir. He was a former member of AHEPA.
Harry played trumpet and taught trumpet lessons at Darnell’s Music Store. He loved classical music.
Surviving in addition to his wife are their children, Stephanie A. Pollatos, and John S. Nafpliotis, husband of Deborah, all of Lancaster, grandchildren, Georgia Woodfill, Dianna Antes, Christina Pollatos, his sisters, Helen Economon of Freeport, NY, and Judy Condos, of Stewart, FL, and niece, Christina.
Funeral services for Harry will be held on Friday January 15, 2016 10:30am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 64 Hershey Ave Lancaster PA officiated by Father Alexander Goussetis and Father Hector Firoglanis. A viewing will be held at church from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment will be at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Annunciation Church in Harry’s memory.

This is years after the fact, but I loved working with Harry when I was a stupid 17 year old kid at Weis Market. Harry was always super cool and funny.
