Hazel Hoak was my oldest sister & the oldest of our large family of eleven. She was a second Mother to many of the younger ones. She learned culinary skills at an early age & taught me many recipes in later years. Was so very talented & seemed God gave her so many skills & talents, I could never keep up with her.Always loved being with her & husband John, who was a “comic” & always teased me about the boys I dated in my youth.Hazel & John had a wonderful life together & raised two awesome children, Linda Hoak Yeagley & Jack Hoak. Both so successful & have excellent mates. I will miss not being able to talk with Hazel each week by phone since we live in California but have so many wonderful memories of her & will be with her again one day in heaven. She loved The Lord Jesus so very much & was never afraid to share his love & salvation message. The best sister I could ever ask for.

Hazel Hoak was my Aunt, she was the oldest of the Hartman family.I have such good memories of visiting her and my Uncle John in their home. She had a great influence on me growing up and I admired her for who she was.She was someone who put their cards on the table! She was a very talented lady, excellant cook, wonderful gardener and a bright successful sales person. I always enjoyed being around her,as she was upbeat, positive, thoughtful, unselfish and kind spirit to all those who met her. I’m sorry I couldn’t be at the funeral, but she knows I love her. My sincere sympathy goes out to my cousins,Linda & Jack, their children and grand children.

Aunt Hazel was the sister of my father Meredith Hartman. I spent time visiting Aunt Hazel & Uncle John when my parents took my sister & I to PA to visit. I enjoyed her wonderful meals & her happy smiles & hugs! Uncle John would find the games in the basement for me & my sister Gayle to play with! My Aunt Hazel would always organize great family reunions. She was very close to all her brothers & sisters my daddy would tell me. Always looking out for them and helping Grandma with the siblings.
