Isabel V. Drybred, 94
Isabel V. Drybred, 94, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, of the Mennonite Home, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Diffenderfer Vollmer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Vernon Drybred, in 2003.
She was a homemaker and devoted her time to raising her children.
She was a member of the James Buchanan Order of the Eastern Star, volunteered with the PTO of the Lancaster School District for many years and was involved with the DeMolay Mothers youth organization.
Isabel was a member of St. Andrew UCC.
She is survived by two sons, John R. Drybred, husband of Barbara L., of Lancaster, and David H. Drybred, husband of Lee; two daughters, Judith A., wife of Daniel Rutt, of Pearl City, HI, and Greta D., wife of Kenneth C., Brackbill, of Lancaster. She is also survived by a sister, Grace Sheetz, of Pennington, NJ, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Isabel’s memory to St. Andrews United Church of Christ, 701 North Lime Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
