Ed was a good friend of Ivan’s in their “younger years”, in fact Ivan was the Best Man at our wedding, almost 62 years ago in Lancaster, PA. Our lives took different directions, Ivan moved to NJ and we were transferred to AZ but whenever we visited the PA area of their “old” stomping grounds, we asked his good friend, Dale Rohrer about Ivan and family.
May memories and faith sustain you, knowing so many others care.

It is with sadness that I say goodbye to my brother. He will be so missed by the family and friends. We are so thankful for all the little and big memories, his crazy sense of humor that always made us laugh, his inspiration and encouragement. I’m sure he is an angel looking over us today. Love to all

Rest In Peace, Ivan. The last time I saw you was on the train from New York to Lancaster and we had a chance to catch up, a lot happened since then (must have been 25 years or more).

Eloise, Jane, and Doris: I was saddened to read of the loss of Ivan. May he rest in peace. All of you will be remembered by me in many special ways–not only as friends, neighbors, and as a former employee. We all had one thing in common–your mothers carrot juice. My you all have many fond memories to which you can cherish. There is nothing stronger that good family relations which the Rohrer family certainly had. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the memorial service tomorrow due to Deanna’s (wife) kidney transplant to which we have to be extremely careful during this time we are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you at this time. May God’s loving presence comfort you, and his perfect peace restore you. In Sympathy and love.

My 5-12 age years were spent living next door to the Rohrer family. I remember each of the girls and Ivan, and some of the adventures we had as kids growing up in the 50’s. My main memory of Ivan was when we had a huge snow storm. We would start sledding at the top of Rohrerstown road, and stop at the creek at the bottom. Then Ivan would hook up all ours sleds to his car, and pull us back to the top of the hill. I’m sure that wouldn’t be legal today!
The tribute pictures of Ivan are lovely, and I offer my condolences to your entire family. I’m sure he’s just had a wonderful reunion with his wife, Arlene, and his parents. May God bring you comfort at this difficult time.
