J. Robert Kopp, 86
J. Robert Kopp, 86, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. Annes Home and Village in Columbia.
He was the husband of the late Jean M.Piehler Kopp, who passed away in 2005. Born in East Petersburg, Robert was the son of the late John S. and Elsie L. Graybill Kopp.
Robert had worked as a tool and die maker for the Hamilton Watch Co. for 43 years until his retirement in 1982.
He was a longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lancaster.
He enjoyed coin and stamp collecting, and was a 1938 graduate of McCaskey High School. Robert also was a World War II veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Marilyn married to George McKain of Landisville and Karen married to Howard Mundorf of Lancaster; a son, Mark married to Becky Kopp of Lincoln Park, NJ, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and sister, Ethel Fisher of Lancaster.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 12Noon-1PM at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 20 E. Clay St., Lancaster, PA 17601, with the memorial service to follow at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to Otterbein United Methodist Church, or to a charity of one’s choice.
