Jack R. Seiple, 51

Jack R. Seiple, III passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2022. Jack was born to Jack R. Seiple, Jr. and Valerie J. Seiple in Virginia Beach, VA. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and was a senior scientist for Johnson & Johnson. Jack was a passionate scientist working on cutting-edge technology integral to the development of live-saving and life-altering medicines for oncology, immunology, and COVID-19 vaccine. His love for chemistry and analytical science was unparalleled, and his dedication and warmth was appreciated by all of his colleagues and friends in the lab.
Jack was a true outdoorsman and loved camping and boating. He received his Master Captain’s license from the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and took great pleasure in refurbishing his 32 ft Hatteras yacht. Most weekends you could find him doing home improvements and rebuilding a golf cart to include monster wheels and a six seater for the entire family. Most of all, his greatest treasure was his family and his three beautiful children.
In addition to his parents, Jack is survived by his wife Tanya L. Seiple, three children: Dax M. Seiple, Dannika A. Seiple, and Devyn B. Seiple; his grandmother Mary Seiple; his siblings: Brenda J. Mitchell (Erik), Tim E. Seiple (Jacqui), and Dave A. Seiple (Shannon); uncles: Herman, Richard and James Brubaker; as well as many nieces, nephews, and animals.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Jack Seiple III Memorial Fund.

Dear Tanya and family,
Words cant express the pain and grief that you are experiencing and am so sorry for the loss. Jack was a valuable colleague who instilled in us at work,  love for family, faith, kindness, dedication, sincerity and integrity. To Dax, Devyn, Danika and Tanya do know that Jack was an amazing scienitst and one of the kindest persons I have ever met. He would always go out of his way to help and learn new technologies. For that I will always be thankful. We will cherish every day he spent with our group in J&J Malvern and continue to honor his life with the values he demonstrated at work.
Thinking of all of you in this tough period

Rocky and I are so very saddened by Jack’s passing. I can’t  imagine your grief and sorrow.  We enjoyed Tim and Dave so much in their younger years; however, we always knew Jack paved the way for all. Luckily Jeff was able to attend today’s service to express all of our support. Prayers to your entire family as you move forward. We know you will cherish every minute you were blessed to enjoy Jack’s presence in your lives.  Blessings and love from the Watson Family

We are so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing.  My husband, Lloyd, and I worked with Jack many years when he was in the chemistry department at Wyeth Labs in Marietta.  Jack was not only a co-worker but also a friend.  He joined us a few times on our camping trips, helped clear our leaves in the fall, and was just a really nice, genuine guy.  Our deepest sympathy to his entire family on such a great loss.

So very sad and such a shock to hear about the passing of Jack.  I knew Jack for over ten years from his time at TEVA and since his move to JnJ.  Jack had such a passion for science and learning.  He was fun and thougtful guy that will be missed by me and all his friends at HORIBA.  One of my favorite stories about Jack involves dinner and Lake Tahoe and Taylor Swift, too long to share here but typical Jack.  My sympathies go out to Jack’s family and friends.
