Dear Mears Family,
I met Jimmy when I was about 3 and he was just walking. They lived on Queen Street. Our mother’s got together often. Later Ellen and I remember going to the farm for picnics, chasing fireflies and just hanging oout while our parents talked. I saw Jim about 6 years ago. I was SO impressed with his sense of order in the barn, I took my husband John out to meet him when we were in town again. Jim was so generous with his time. it was really good to see him after all these years and it’s my loss that I didn’t get out there again.
Ellen and I send our loving thoughts to all of you.

Dear Mear’s family-
We were so very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing last week. Jim was a long time customer at the Former Lancaster Tractor and Equipment, Inc. and we had the chance to contine see and talk with him when we were purchased by Messick’s Farm Equipment in September of 2011. It was obvious that he was a gentle soul and loved working on his tractor (especially the lights!!!!) Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
Sincerely,
Diane Black
