James “Jim” R. Cohen, 66

James “Jim” R. Cohen, 66, of East Petersburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 1, 2020 in Linthicum Heights, MD. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late John H. Cohen and Anna Wendt. He was the loving husband of Mi Yong Cohen with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.
Jim honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jim went on to work in production for DMC Delmarva Millwork Corporation. Jim’s favorite pass time was bass fishing. He also enjoyed listening to Motown music. Jim loved traveling, watching military movies, treasure hunting, and camping in his free time. Jim was always clowning around and could make anyone laugh. Family was very important to Jim and he loved spending time with them.
In addition to his wife Mi Yong Cohen, he is survived by his children Deanna M. Cohen and Kathleen “Katie” M. Hunt, wife of Ian, his grandchildren Christian Weaver, Matthew Weaver, Jackson Hunt, and Elijah Hunt, his siblings Beverly Callahan, Francis “John” Cohen, husband of Catherine, Dolores “Dory” Cohen, and Christopher Cohen, husband of Linda, several nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Teti.
A viewing will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 2-4pm. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Doug Winne will follow the viewing.

Uncle Jimmy, I am so glad that I got to video chat with you at the end of April. I got to tell you how loved you were by your sister, Joyce and how she prayed for you every day. Mi Yong, Deanna and Katie so sorry for your loss.My God bless you all at this time.I will always have fond memories of Jim talking fishing and boating while he was in for haircuts.My he have peace now after fighting a remarkable battle.You all are in my thoughts.
