James “Jim” Wagner, 81

March 08, 2024

James “Jim” Wagner, 81 of Lancaster, passed away peacefully March 8, 2024. He was born to the late Edgar Wagner and Mary Mclune in the summer of 1942. Jim was a graduate of McCaskey Highschool and a proud Marine. After his service, Jim spent time as a truck driver for Armstrong, Yellow Freight and Somers.

A man with a dry wit and a heart full of stories, Jim was known for his infectious laughter and his natural talent of telling a great story. His presence at the Riverside Club as a doorman was always welcomed, his warmth and friendly demeanor leaving a mark on all who crossed his path.

Jim found solace and camaraderie riding motorcycles with the Sons of Satan motorcycle club. Among his fellow riders, he found a second family, sharing in the thrill of the open road and the bond of brotherhood.

Jim’s legacy of love extends beyond his adventures; he was a devoted husband to Richelle Wagner and a cherished father to his children: Jim Wagner (Tammy), Bill Wagner (Cathy) , Ron Wagner (Norma), Dave Wagner, and Bob Wagner (Michele). His stepchildren, Joseph and Jeremiah Mazzur, were also embraced as part of his loving family and his sister in-law Deb Wagner. Jim also leaves behind his beloved 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Jim will rejoin his parents, his son Rick Wagner and brother David Wagner.

A celebration of life will be held at The Riverside Club, 730 E. Strawberry St., Lancaster PA, March 23 from 12-4pm. A covered dish is welcomed.

While Jim’s earthly journey has come to an end, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and fondly remembered for his laughter, his stories, and his unwavering love.
