James Joseph Hoffman Jr., 57

James Joseph Hoffman Jr., 57, of Akron PA, formally of Eastwood, NY, passed away August 27, 2019. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late James Hoffman Sr. and Judith Hoffman.

Jim graduated from Chittenango High School in 1981. He received a BA in History from SUNY Oswego in 1993. He worked for Wegmans Food Markets for many years.

Jim’s greatest love was his three beautiful daughters. He enjoyed sharing his love for sports and music with them. Jim was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, NY Yankees and Syracuse University sports. He enjoyed travel, history, progressive rock and was a Cookies & Cream Ice Cream aficionado.

Jim is survived by his three daughters, Paige of Liverpool; Molly and Megan of Eastwood; his girlfriend, Suzanne Schumakoff and her daughters, Elena and Joanna of NJ; and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Raymond and Violet Doty; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Isabel Hoffman; and his sisters Roxanne Sherwood, Vanessa Hoffman and Jennifer Doty.
