I have been in the family for over 50 years and how that came about, my mom used to send me to Thriftway I always see sissy either coming or going from there I asked her what her name was she said sissy And I said that’s my name to,I ask her where she lived? She said 769 Almanac Ave. Later on Bad day I my way down there, where I meet my second family and Took me in as one of her own that’s what they were to me. Miss Janice opened her heart and her home to me. Or May 12 I made my last visit to see. When I went to leave I gave her a kiss on her for head as I started walking out and she said hey sissy I wanna hug!! My heart smiled she gave me the biggest hug ever I told her I loved her and left later on I got the news that she passed. She forever left her foot prints on my heart. I love you Miss Janice to pieces

I came to know and admire Janice because of the death of her daughter, Sissy. Throughout the long years of court hearings and appeals, Janice always wanted to understand the issues, always represented her daughter with a quiet dignity and grace and always came to the hearings. I cannot rememeber a time that she was not present. I regret that I cannot be present on Friday to honor her memory as she so steadfastly has honored her daughter’s over all of these years but know that my respect and love for her will be there. My thoughts are with your family as you mourn your Nanny.
