Jason Jennings Milholin

April 08, 2013

Jason Jennings Milholin, aged 34, died unexpectedly in his home in Lititz, PA on April 8, 2013. Born in San Diego, CA, Jason moved to Lititz with his father in 1986, and was a member of Warwick High School’s class of 1996. Following graduation, he went to work for his uncle at Fullnet, a computer internet service company in Indiana. He returned to Lititz in 2001, where he was employed by Merv Zimmerman, Inc as a purchasing assistant to his father. Jason’s computer programming and office management skills propelled him to the position of Office Manager in his 12 years of service there.

Survivors include his father, RJ Milholin, of Lititz; his mother, Cathy Dubois and Dr William DuBois, of Stanwood, MI; his step-mother, Valerie Milholin, and his half-brother, Troy Milholin, both of Landisville; paternal grandparents, Clark and Joan Milholin of Holiday, FL; maternal grandparents, Ernie and Lenora Challender of Jasper, IN; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and a whole family of co-workers at Zimmerman’s.

Jason was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, decorating his home and faithfully cheering his whole life for this losing team. They never did make it to the Super Bowl in Jason’s lifetime — but "Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Corinthians 15:57). We have confidence in Jason’s victory through God’s saving grace. As a baptized, confirmed, and confessing Christian, he surely rests now in the arms of his Savior.

The viewing will be at Mt.Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, 308 Petersburg Rd., Lititz,PA  at 4pm on Saturday, April 13, followed by a funeral service at 5pm.  In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations may be made in Jason’s memory to: Lifesong for Orphans, Attn:  Zimmerman/#3457, PO Box 40, Gridley IL 61744 (*check memo to include:  preference #3457 Lucy Kim) Working to help bring Lucy Kim home was a great passion of Jason’s. The Weiser Family

Uncle Bill and I want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers.  We love you.  Aunt Jeannette and Uncle Bill.

My deepest sympathy goes out to RJ, Troy & the extended Milholin family with the loss of Jason. Words cannot describe the void we are all feeling right now but we know that God is in control and he has a plan. Jason was a great co-worker to work with despite the little disagreements we would have every now & then. Jason you will missed by us all.

Vickie Martin (Co-worker & Friend)

We didn’t know Jason long, yet felt like we were friends forever. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

Bob & Carolyn Finney

Every time I saw Jason at a family gathering he was always such a fun person to be around and I know he would have been such a good buddy and example for Troy during his teenage years. Although we will all miss his good natured ribbing and smiles, God is with him and that is great comfort.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Jason’s family! I am so heart broken and in disbelief! I wish this was all a very bad dream. Jason will be missed. He was a remarkable guy and friend. Heaven gained another angel. Fly High my friend. Love Ya

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jason’s family.  My heart broke when I heard the news.  He was such a kind and loving person.  Jason was there for me during a very difficult time when so many others turned their back and I will never forget him for that.  He cared so much for people and asked nothing in return.  The world has lost a truly good guy.

Woot woot Jason…

Dear RJ & Troy,

I was so sorry to hear the news about Jason and wish to offer my heartfelt condolences. Jason was an incredible human being and I thoroughly enjoyed working with him as well as keeping up with him after I switched jobs. His loss will never be truly understood, but I guess God needed another angel. May god watch over you and Troy and hope that time helps you grieve.

God Bless:
John R. Strayer

RJ,
May the Lord be with you during this very tring time. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dan, Karen, DJ and your godson Korey Johnson.

Jason touched my life by working with him on the company health insurance renewals.  This is not necessarily a pleasant task for benefit administrators of companies, but Jason was always cordial, punctual and truly pleasant to work with.  He will truly be missed.  Wendy Boyer

I’LL NEVER FORGET THE TIMES HE WOULD CALL CHUCK JUST TO CHECK UP ON HIM. MAY YOU SEE GOD IN THE FACES OF YOUR FRIENDS, HEAR HIM IN THEIR VOICES, AND FEEL HIM IN THE TOUCH OF THEIR HANDS.   WITH CARING THOUGHTS…SANDY GRAY & FAMILY
