Jill Ann Hamsher-Bridgeman, 65

Jill Ann Hamsher-Bridgeman, 65, of Columbia, PA passed away on September 25, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Rubie Hamsher of Chambersburg and the step-daughter of Pete John, also of Chambersburg.
Jill was a native of Chambersburg and attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She went on to attend Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV.
Jill was employed at Stauffers of Kissel Hill.
She is survived by her husband Jere Bridgeman, her brother Jack Hamsher, step-father Pete, their respective families, and more friends than can be counted. Her quick and easy smile and magntic demeanor touched the lives of everyone she met.
Memorial celebrations will be held Saturday, October 7th at the Catholic War Veterans, 250 N. 7th Street, Columbia, PA from 2:00-6:00, and Saturday, October 14th at 85 Willowbrook Drive in Chambersburg, PA, from 2:00-6:00.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear of Jill’s death. Jill was a wonderful person and enjoyed life tremendously. I still see her picure with your Mother whenever I open the 1969 Edition of the Bomb. In searching for your address, I came upon the announcment for Jill. I hope that you get this note since it has been so long after Jill’s death. I woud like to reconnect with you and catch up. My name is Ariana and I’m 9 and I meet Jill when I was 4. She would always talk to me in the store and she would always smile she was always nice to me I would always talk to her about things I did in girl scouts. I missed her and I’m sad that shes gone and I miss her a lot.

Jill was a fun and friendly lady. Always enjoyed our conversations when I was shopping at SKH. She will truly be missed. She always had a smile!! Prayers for peace and comfort for her family in the days ahead.
